Meadowlands Drive is central to the Parkwood Hills neighbourhood that stretches along both sides. Meadowlands Drive marks the northern boundary, however some of the neighbourhood continues on to Baseline Road. The eastern boudary is Fisher Avenue and western is Merivale Road. Included in this neighbourhood are Stewart Farm, Fisher Glen, CitiPlace and part of Carleton Heights.

Parkwood Hills is a prime location for students with its close proximity to Algonquin College and Carleton University. With its beautiful, mature trees and abundance of home options, Parkwood Hills is an ideal location for growing families. There is a planned mix of residential single family, townhouses and condominium apartments. Amenities include Inverness Park, and retail areas such as Emerald Plaza, Meadowlands Mall and the Merivale Mall. It’s a short commute to shopping on Baseline and Merivale Roads. This neighbourhood is well serviced by OC Transpo with multiple routes running through it and the Baseline Station bus hub nearby.

Catholic schools in the area include St. Rita and Frank Ryan. Public schools in the area include St. Pius High School, Sir Winston Churchill, and Merivale High School.  

Borden Farm is a small neighbourhood with a mix of condominium apartments, low rise apartments, townhouses and single family homes, largely built by Minto, that built the first high-rise condominium development in Canada in 1967. It is close to a variety of shopping centers such as the Meadowlands Mall, Merivale Mall and the Viewmount Centre strip mall that features a Metro, HomeSense and dine in restaurants.
