About The Glebe

The Glebe is an upscale neighbourhood close to downtown and the Canal. The Glebe is home to Lansdowne Park, where the Redblacks play. The area recently got a new Arena as well as a whole bunch of new businesses moving into the neighbourhood. You'll find a variety in house styles, with older homes in original condition, those that have been updated and those that have been totally gutted and updated. One of Ottawas most recognizable and eclectic areas, it was initially established in 1837 and around 12,000 people live here.

Located south of the Queensway, Northwest of Queen Elizabeth Driveway and East of Bronson Avenue, The Glebe is known for its older homes with character but there are plenty of modern in-fill developments and condominiums throughout. Carleton University is also in close proximity to the neighbourhood. Convenient access to the Rideau Canal, parkland, shops, and restaurants on Bank Street. The Queensway is easily accessible and the OC Transpo buses service the neighbourhood. With the improvement of Landsdowne Park there are more amenities for residents including TD Place at Lansdowne; a 24,000 seat stadium used to host sporting events and concerts.

Housing development around the stadium consists of Condo Towers and some modern townhomes.
