About North Gower
North Gower is a small village in Eastern Ontario, situated on Stevens Creek and 35 km from downtown Ottawa. North Gower is named after the Lord of the Admiralty from 1783-1789, John Levenson-Gower, and Steven Creek for United Empire Loyalist, Roger Stevens - a British spy who happened to drown there in 1793.
Surrounding communities include Richmond, Kars, Kemptville and Manotick.
Part of the Home Hardware Group since 2011, Perkins Lumber was independently owned and founded in 1936 and forms part of North Gower's heritage.
