About Katimavik, Kanata

Katimavik is located in Kanata South, bounded by Campeau north, Hazeldean south, Eagleson east & Terry Fox west and one of Kanata’s original neighbourhoods along with Beaverbrook and Glen Cairn.

According to the 2011 Canada Census Katimavik has a population over 12,000. The community features several large and open wooded areas, interconnected through recreational pathways, to the east there is the NCC Greenbelt.

Residential homes and condo towns in Katimavik are mostly built by Campeau, Richcraft, Minto and Olympia.

It is well serviced by OC Transpo with many routes and buses running through the neighbourhood. There is also convenient access to the Queensway. Katimavik residents have access to many recreational facilities and amenities like the Ron Maslin Playhouse, Kanata Rec. Centre, Canadian Tire Centre and the Kanata Centrum shopping Center located in the neighbouring Kanata Lakes.
