The neighbourhood of Billings Bridge is just south down Bank Street and is home to the Billings Bridge Plaza for all your shopping needs. There are older homes as well as condo towers. Billings House at 2100 Cabot Street is one of Ottawa's oldest homes and now a house museum, built by Braddish Billings, one of the first sellers of Gloucester Township in 1812 where his home became the beginnings of the village of Billings Bridge.

The Billings family were active in shaping the community by helping to build farms and churches, a dairy operation and contributed to the development of the Byward Market by providing produce for sale.

Designated a Canadian national historic site in 1968, the Braddish Billings House draws on Georgian architecture of New England, built between 1828 and 1829. It sits overlooking the Rideau River and is home to one of Ottawa's oldest cemeteries. Residents and tourists can visit this nearly 200-year-old manor house to learn about the community's evolution over 150 years. In addition, there are 8 acres of landscaped greenspace and gardens that provide a picturesque and historical backdrop for special events, that can be booked through the City of Ottawa.
