About Bayshore

Bayshore, also referred to as Accora Village, is a more affordable area of town. Located in the west end of Ottawa, this neighbourhood is bounded by Holly Acres Road to the east, south of the Ottawa River, west of Roseview Avenue and north of the Queensway. 

It has a population of approximately 5,700 and is made up of a mix of townhomes, garden homes and high rise condos. 

Home to Bayshore - Ottawa’s largest shopping mall, with plenty of shops and services for residents as well as a Cineplex Cinemas movie theatre on Carling Avenue. This indoor mall sees close to 7 million visitors each year. 

There have traditionally been between 20 and 40 home sales per year. In 2021, this doubled to 81 homes selling for an average price of $484,898, a 17% increase over 2020. 

Recreation includes the Bayshore Community Centre, parks (Bayshore Park and Michelle Park) that feature baseball diamonds, basketball courts, a soccer field and a seasonal wading pool. An NCC bike path can be found at the western border of the neighbourhood which leads to Kanata in the west and central Ottawa in the east. The City of Ottawa, the Senators Foundation and Ferguslea Properties have commited to building the next Rink of Dreams in Accora Village.

Schools in the area serving Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 students are Bayshore Public School and St. Rose of Lima Catholic School.
