More Information about Old Ottawa South Neighbourhood

The Tree lined streets of Old Ottawa South is home to approximately 6,000 people, with Multiple OC Transpo buses servicing this neighbourhood; taking residents downtown or south of the city.

The shopping strip along Bank Street in Old Ottawa south is known for its antique stores, pubs, and unique shops.

A two minute walk across the Bank Street bridge will take you to the Glebe and the redeveloped Landsdowne Park where residents have access to Whole Foods Market, shopping, restaurants, a 10 screen Cineplex movie theatre and TD Place; a 24,000-seat stadium.

The addition of Landsdowne Park has created more traffic in the neighbourhood, especially on days where major events and games take place.

Crossing the Billings bridge can take you to shopping at the Billings Bridge Plaza.

Homes in close proximity to the Rideau River can be subject to flooding.  Anyone can go to the City of Ottawa website and look on a “geomap” to see which homes and streets are on the flood plain.
