While at least $1 million had been spent on sprucing up Robertson Road 10 years ago, this renewed attention on the community prompted a Bells Corners Community Improvement Plan (CIP) grant program in 2016, lasting five years, which provides financial incentives to qualifying local commercial property owners to redevelop lands or buildings that are underutilized, idle of in need of repair or upgrade. It’s a self-financing program from private investment.
