I first met Julie Savard about 2 years ago when my husband and I decided to make the decision to emigrate from Cape Town,South Africa to Ottawa,Canada.
Julie was very warm and friendly in our initial phone call and her warmth and great service extended for 2 further years constantly keeping in touch with us over the e-mail, sending us frequent e-mails on listings that suited our requirements and then when my Husband and I finally came to Ottawa in April 2008,to purchase a property on a pre-emigration trip we continued to be impressed by Julies professional service and enthusiasm. She lined up a selection of properties that met our requirements, and after seeing 4 or 5 properties, we found our perfect home within our budget.
Julies service extended to closing a somewhat difficult deal to negotiate price wise, but she managed to close the gap between buyer and seller and the deal was closed.Julie then went on to assist us with arranging finance, a closing attorney and a home inspection service to which she was involved every step of the way.All subsequent paperwork was handled timeously and professionally too.
As a Realtor myself from South Africa with my own real Estate Company back home, I am perhaps stricter than most people when it comes to good realtor service experience, and I can honestly say that I as a realtor myself, was impressed by Julies service and professional and warm nature, and I would not hesitate in recommending her to anybody else to work with, both buyer and seller.
Julie also assisted us with a couple of other matters (in a totally different realm to property), that shows that she is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to assist her clients.
My husband and I go home happy with our new investment thanks to Julies help.We look forward to returning to our new home in Ottawa in a few months time and thankfully we now have the knowledge of where we are going to live as opposed to not knowing this important detail in the Immigration process.

Hi, Julie! How are you?!
First of all, my sincere apologies for not getting in touch sooner. We meant to actually call you or drop in on closing day just to say another thanks, and then of course, things got crazy and it just wasn't possible. Then, we got the flowers you sent to my brother's house (a bit of sleuthing there to find us?!) and were just so touched by that. Thanks so much!! But things were crazy between renovating and illness that I haven't been able to drop a line. So many, many belated thanks!!
We started renovating right away and are actually living in the house now (as of yesterday). It looks quite different from when you last saw it! It's still chaotic (all the floors aren't in and we ended up tearing down the kitchen cabinets because they disintegrated as we tried to take them down carefully to reuse them), but it's beginning to come together. Feel free to drop by for a coffee anytime, or just to take a look.
I hope things are going well for you and you've had a good winter (long as it's been!). I may be looking at doing a real flip in the near future (as in one I don't live in and that hires a crew) as part of a special project. So, I'm staying on the "new listings" elist just in case.
